Above: A phase-separated blend of two
polymers. Fluorescence is exhibited by one of the polymers, and is indicated
by lighter colours in the image. The fluorescence data has been overlain on
the physical topography of the polymer surface; features are ~40nm in height.

Masters training package
The courses have been developed jointly by the
universities of Leeds and Sheffield. They provide a broad,
interdisciplinary learning experience enabling single-discipline
graduates to contribute effectively to the research, development
and commercial exploitation of nanotechnology.
The package contains a core set of modules, introducing concepts and
methodologies. Additional modules are offered in nanoengineering,
electronics and mechanics, and bio-nanomaterials, permitting you to
focus on areas of interest or expertise, and leading to a degree titled
to reflect your chosen area of specialisation:
MSc Nanoscale science and technology
MSc Nanoelectronics and nanomechanics
MSc Nanomaterials for nanoengineering
MSc Bionanotechnology
You can study for your degree either full time or part time, to suit
your career or personal circumstances.
