Nanotechnology masters (MSc) studentships
There are a range of scholarship and studentship opportunties to help pay for tuition fees and living expenses. Please note that in most instances you will need to make an application to study BEFORE applying for these awards
UK/EU applicants
A number of studentships are available for tenure. The highest level of award, for exceptionally qualified candidates, covers payment of tuition fees at UK/EC level, and a tax-free maintenance grant. Lower level awards cover UK/EC tuition fees only. These studentships are available on a competitive basis only to students who are both UK/EC nationals and residents.

International scholarships in nanoscience and technology
Two scholarships in the amount of £1500 for international students are available for tenure from October 2008. These will be awarded on academic merit to outstanding applicants. Applicants should normally hold or expect to hold, a first class degree. Relevant industrial experience and research work and/or project work will also be taken into consideration. The closing date is 4th March 2011.
Applicants must make an application for study on one of the Nanoscale programmes before they can be considered for these scholarships.

British Chevening Scholarships
These scholarships are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and administered by the British Council. These awards enable international students to study in the UK. See also the website of the British Council for helpful advice about finding scholarships to study here.

Students from Latin America should be aware of "The Alßan Programme", which is a new scholarship programme for Latin Americans who wish to study or retrain in EU Higher Education institutions.
