Enterprise in Nanotechnology
The enterprise theme was established in 2002, with a two-day workshop. This looked at the life-cycle of the enterprise process, with contributions from venture capitalists, real-life nanotechnology start-up companies, business-support government agencies, and technology transfer organisations.
The outcomes were to create a series of case studies, designed to assist new nanotechnology (and other technical) businesses.
Additionally, link pages were created to online resources such as nanotechnology centres in academia and industry, offering the training, skills, materials and techniques that might assist the development of a successful business enterprise.
